The blend door is sticking to the point where the servo motor can't turn it. It is stuck in the cooling mode and I need to manually turn to heat now that it is winter!! Which way does it turn to move to the heating position?
FYI - Dont turn the hot/cold knob to full position in either direction otherwise the electric motor pushes the blend door really tight against the openings and thats what causes the blend door failures. Adjust to maximum hot or cold...minus two clicks of the knob will prevent what you're experiencing.
Or you could have a broken coupler, the factory one is plastc. I have a replacement metal one but getting the motor out is a feat all it's own where it is located.
