I guess my blend doors finally took a S***. I think they have been like this for some time though, because living in southern calif you dont really use the defrost often. It looks like their stuck in one position with all the air being routed through the dash vents.

The recirc still seems to be working as does the heat. It's just that all the air is coming through the dash (pointing at the driver/passenger). Also when I turn on the defrost nothing is coming out the vents on the top of the dash where they point into the windshield?. I can hear the A/C Comp coming on when I turn the selector to defrost.

The funny thing is, is just by turning the selector to the defrost setting the windshield will defog?. I think there might be a small amount of ventilation coming from the windshield vent.

Man I dont want pull the dash on this thing. I had my 99 Grand Cherokee doors repaired and the dam thing was never the same (rattles):#@$%!. Is this problem the doors?

Unless you plan on moving to somewhere that has cold or humidity, I would forget it. Mine tanked over a year ago and the lack of floor heat is only an issue when it was 18 and I was driving on the interstate. The deep freeze ends tomorrow and El Nino will return us to 50s and 30s for the rest of the winter. Or you can take it to the dealer and drop a thousand and have them remove the dash and replace the broken part. It was detailed on how to fix it in the last TDR issue.

Blend door repair.

Joe Salas@ NTG Racing says he's got it down with the blend door repair. He and Mike are ex-Dodge techs who opened up their own shop. You might give him a call. They are in Santee Ca. 619-449-2758 Should be an inexpensive repair through him.

Keep us posted

If you get it fixed, let us know how many hours they charged and what parts were replaced. Lot of 03 to 05 drivers will need this repair soon... .

I think your right, I am going to blow it off. This morning all i did was hit the ac button and the windows cleared right up with the heater on of course, windshield included.

I really think the dam thing has been like this for quite some time. It's just that for some reason i decided to put my hand up there and check it:rolleyes:. I had been hearing an occasional popping noise for the last year or so coming from under the dash.

Same here Mac, I just hit the AC button if the windshield fogs and poof its cleared! My son doesnt like to ride in my truck cause of the lack of floor heat... anyway his sounds more manly with the stacks and that 24V truck sound...
