Help. I blew a trans cooler line while on the road. I tried using a compression fitting to repair it, but the hole is too close to a bend. I put a 1/2 in ID rubber fuel hose on it. but wonder how long it will last. I've got about 800 miles of driving left this week before I can get home and repair it correctly. Anyone ever run fuel hose on one of these temporarily?

Let me know.

Thanks!

Joe

Had the same thing happen to me last year in a long road trip and was able to stop it with a rubber hose cut along one side and a couple of clamps. Held all the way from northern CA back to Texas with no leaks. Good luck with whatever you can think of

I wish I had thought of that before I cut the line in half. That would probably been a much safer temp repair. Either way, 250 more miles down and still holding.
