Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Blew my first head gasket !!!

Level6 + Water Meth + defuel and warnings turned off + 7% 5 mile hill = Blown Head Gasket. Time for studs . Anyone have any recomendations on what brand or type of head gasket to use?

I got mine from piers when they did my o-rings, but i found they were cheapest from performance diesel warehouse. from what i gathered theyre all basically made the same, just have to pick your flavor in terms of thickness.

why cant you just save the water kit and o-ring your head? (+studs) or the water kit will fund the gasket project?

I have the cash for the project but this needs to be my tow rig and not a racer. I plan to get another truck this spring to go all out on and play with.

There are people I know running the Snow system on daily tow rigs,sounds like you just need to get it dialed in and it would work fine for you,especially after an o-ring head job.

Part of the problem may be the turbo... . The HX35/40 is a pretty restrictive turbo and backpressure probably is well above boost pressure if you are pushing any more than 35# boost. The water did not help but what was the meth content?

I was running 50/50 Doug. Don't get me wrong i'm not crying because it was totally my fault. I will be pulling the meth kit though, i have no self contril.
