I thought this was a problem reserved for the big dogs running B1s or twin turbos.
Today I got on the throttle pretty good from a light (but not WOT)and the short rubber hose at the bottom passenger side of the intercooler blew out from underneath the clamp. Thing that surprises me is that I only had the Comp on 4x3 and I don't think I had quite cracked 30psi yet. My truck has certainly seen more than this, so I guess the lesson learned is that the hoses can creep over a period of time?
I checked the other clamps while I was putting it back on, and none of them seemed as tight as I would have put them on myself. Add this to the list of things to check on race day, or before a long towing trip...
