OK guys, this is part vent, part need for help. For the past 4-6 weeks, the 06 has had and erratic airbag warning light come on the go after a few seconds. It may do it 5 times in 5 minutes or not for hours on end. Also, the headlights will flicker for high beam to low all by themselves, again erratically. The blinkers will also "skip a beat" in both directions. And I think I seen the blinkers flash a few time all by themselves. OK, off to the dealer. They replaced the multiswitch and ran codes. Only code was "no communitcation with radio" (I have Sony XM reciever). That did nothing. So back to dealer and in the meantime, I put the stock radio back in and, of course, they couldn't duplicate problem and no computer codes to tell them what to do. The truck has been at the dealer three days and I'm no where. They're not going to do anything else because Chrysler won't let them without a defective part. There has to be a common part to these systems and I can't believe it has anything to do with the radio. Any ideas??
Now, I really don't care what Chrysler tells this dealer. I have an expensive new truck that has a problem. A problem, mind you, that involves more that one safety system of the truck and they should to fix it. God forbid these guys acutally look for the problem and try fixing it instead of waiting for a computer to tell them what to do then get premission for the Almighty Chrysler. Is it unreasonable to expect them to do something on their own even if Chrysler won't warrenty a part? I just want my new truck to work without spending 100 hours of my own time fixing it. Sorry to be so long, I'm open to ideas.
