The weather finally broke here in PA and last weekend I blitzed the truck. The winters are really beating it to death with all the salt brine they put down now. I replaced the bushings on the wipers,Cleaned the interior, cleaned and greased the front bearings and Warn hubs,Polished the wheels, replaced the front pads and replaced all the parking brake cables. Phase one done! I didn't get to the 4 inch exhaust:-laf , pass side power window problem:confused: ???, wash and wax detail... . Whew I'm beat just thinking about it. I have a rust blow out on the bottom pass fender that's got me  . I don't know how many more winters this truck can take :{ If I didn't love this truck so much it would be gone by now!

Oh almost forgot, have to replace the side window wiper seals. It's always something!

The rust on the bottom of the fender is normal I am sorry to say. But that is an easy fix to do. Matching the paint up is another problem. My truck is black so it was no problem to hide the repair I did a couple of years ago.

I'll try to get the part number for the window seals tomorrow. I have a full set in the garage. Their going in when I get around to my cab swap.

Why don't you head out this way on Wedsday morning. You can detail mine while I throw the front axle back together. Fixing that rust hole is only about an hour job. :-laf :-laf

Indiana? Ha ha sure no problem!

Those part #'s would be great. I replaced them once back in `98 and they weren't cheap as I remember.

I'll deal with the rust somehow. I might pull the front end as I have the cowl cracks to deal with. I've had those parts for 4 yrs, Might be time to just get it done.

The part #'s are 04161674, 04161675.

When I got mine they were a little over $30 each.

Doing a patch on the spot of rust is easy. The fender is single wall. Take a pair of tin snips or a drumel tool and cut out the rust. The cut your metal wider than the hole. Make it a long piece. Then from the bottom of the fender slide it up between the the inner support and the outer sheet metal. Then weld/braze/solder it threw the hole. Grind off as needed then putty and paint. The putty and paint part will take a lot longer than the spot fix.

sorry about not getting the numbers sooner.

A, Thanks Philip that's great! Yeah I remember them being $$$. The driver side inner is the pass side outer and vise versa, Right?

I know I can patch it I have replaced the quaters on my `65 chevelle and they look pretty good. I'm thinking of getting the truck shot again in the fall and I've got to deal with the cowl cracks anyhow. Thanks again

I didn't realize those pieces were the same inner and outer? (except opposite) I thought the inner was a softer material! Maybe I need to drink more! :D

Pete quit thinking. :-laf :-laf

The "other" brands use the fuzzy wipers on the inside. Dodge didn't want to spend that much more money. They just used the same part inside and out.

I toasted my pass electric door lock switch this winter. I got water on the switch when the truck was parked and turned off, but it fried the switch anyway as there is always power there. It drained my battery through the switch and melted it down internally. :(
