I could go that route but I have a Kim Hot Start plug. Whether it will be any different fitting into recepticle. . probably not.

And I don't need the cord.

Does anybody know where to buy these. Or what they're called?

Zero Start (Phillips Temro) offers the protective cover.

Part Number 3600012 Plug Protector.

Try a truck dealer close by.

I will e-mail the page to you, too big to link it here.

Mike. :)

Thanks for the lead Mike. Some/not all new cordsets don't come w/ the covers anymore. Kim Hotstart being one of the.

Craig, Nice write-up on the wigidigt. If I were to replace a cord the male end the is in the housing is tough to get out?

It's actually all made together. I've replaced a couple of cords over the ten years I've had my 99, and I actually wondered what I will do if the cable goes bad again. I don't know if the cable only is available from them or if I'd have to buy the whole thing again. For the convenience, I'd (begrudgingly) buy the whole thing again and just use the cord.
