Does the way the truck is parked matter to the effectiveness of the block heater ?

My driveway has an approx 6 degree up angle (maybe more) and I'm just wondering if the coolant stays in proper contact with the heater when it's parked like that or is the heater just in an air pocket ?

The heater is in the side of the block. You'd have to drain half your coolant out to get it low enough to get it off the heater. Park however you want.

Plus there shouldn't be any air in the cooling system, unless you have a leak. You should be able to stand it on its nose or on its tailgate and the block heater should be OK.
