block heater

hooking up cable for block heater for the first time, cannot locate where it plugs in at - can anyone point me in the right direction?

The plug is on the left side of the truck when standing facing the grille. Lift the hood and the plug is hanging beside the headlight. The three-prong plug has a black cover over it in the shape of the plug.



Just plugged mine in also. My truck is a 04 305/555 but should be in the same location.

Justin, your truck may not have the cable installed, it was a 30 dollar option for me. If the plug is installed it will be as listed above.



Dealer can get you one asap though, I had to have mine added, bought the truck in Warren, PA.

My guess here is that you bought the cord for the block heater and now would like to install it. If I'm correct, go into my readers rig gallery and you will see a few photo's of the install.

The heater plug is right above the oil filter on the passenger side of the engine, plug the cord in there. As others have mentioned, you have to go purchase the cord if you have not yet.
