Does the Block Heater cycle? I have put a continuity Tester between the prongs of a new block heater and I still can't get a reading. Is this normal. Jack

Food for thought

If you find that you have a bad block heater and are going to replace it you have many diff. ones to choose from. There are the ones from the dealer that is ~750Watt all the way to 1500Watt that all fit in the same hole and do the same thing. It all depends on were you live, how fast you want it to heat up, and if you are going to leave it pluged in all night and don't want the meter to spin that fast all night long.

If the heater isn't working, check the cord first.

I had to replace my cord, and it had NO aparent reason to be bad. I just barrowed one off a tractor from work. Using that cord, the heater worked again. Now, I have a BOMBed heater cord. :D
