block heater ?

Why does my block heater keep going bad ? I'm on my 2nd one, Third one ordered, they seem to last about 2 yrs and then I have to replace it. I think I got a good deal on this one, $56 from dodge parts people.com. I'm also going to replace the cord too.

Is it already cool enough for you to be using your block heater in Oregon? I don't use mine unless it's going to be below freezing.

That's a strange one. How long do you leave it plugged in? You're only using it below, say 40°F, right?

Any chance there's not enough coolant in the truck, which is causing the element to be dry?

What coolant are you running?
