dumb question cant find the block heater , does a 05 still have them , and where is it , thanks

I think they came with the element installed, may not have the cord depending on what climate you bought the truck in. The heater is in the passenger side of the block about midway from front to rear and just to the rear of the oil filter. The cords are available from several sources. bg

If there isn't a cord, the port B.G Smith was talking about will have a cap on it that looks like a garden hose screw cap.

All the engines came from Cummins with a heater installed. I have checked ESN's from Arizona trucks up here and they had the heater just no cord. It is a 750 watt just in case you were wondering and is in the 3/4" NPT threaded hole just to the rear of the oil filter as stated above. Fleetguard p/n for the cord is 251919. It fits just about all Cummins including the oil pan heaters on the big trucks.

If you have the cord it would be on the passenger side radiator support behind the bumper.
