Competition What?!?! Nothing about TS??

Gents (and Ladies!)- Both my brother and I are putting twins on (my wife has twins on her Volvo and I won't be outdone!) (Mine's bigger!) - and after bench racing we decided to use a wastegate for the hx35 (1st turbo) and a blow off for the 2nd. Bro's is an htb2 2nd turbo and his questions are this - can he get up to 50lbs boost (his desire for max boost) with that twin turbo combo (or does he need bigger #2)? 2nd Q- Where can I get an adjustable blow-off valve that can go up or exceed 50lbs on the top?

I don't think the HtB2 is big enough for the second turbo don't know the specs bot most I've seen are in the 62mm range you need somthing around the 75mm range most home builders are useing a HT3B or a S-300 as far as the blow off check out sourceautomotive he also sells parts on e-bay hes got a bunch of twin stuff. also check out powerbypoole.com good luck I'm getting ready to build twins for mine tooOo.

twins

I agree with MVandever, Your going to need something a wee bit bigger than a HTB2..... If you used the same comb that MVandever was mentioning HX35 / HTB3 that would work fine... . and could support decent HP## with good EGT's..... All in all your the HTB2 just doesnt have the flow ## to support the idea as a primary... ... ... ... MY . 02

What does your BhT4C measure out to be size comp exh, what type of injectors are you running didn't see in your sig, have you had it on the dyno just wondering this first set I'm building is kinda a street, trailer puller setup might try something bigger later I'm gonna run a 35-12 with a BHT3E comp is 74. 93 and the exh is 23cm think it should work good for spool up on the street but I don't think it will be a good dyno Queen:-laf

Dyno

Yes I had it on the dyno last SAT at Relentless Diesel in Willis TX... . 556hp is all that I could get, (54psi of boost) I am able to tow a trailer with the set up... But the ability to tow dependes on the driver... . I'll tow with almost anything and make it work. The ##'s are low due to not having enough time to dial in the custom built waste gate and I was having a head gasket issue during the run (I'm testing a head gasket) So that being said it might have 30hp left in it with a holding gasket and some tuning... ... ... . The injectors are 200 hp DDP's... ... ... ... ..... The Compressor side is large:-laf

Who cares about dyno queens when they cant produce on the street..... my . 02

1. We need to know what size HTB2 you have.

2. Why do you want a BOV? for boost pressure max. relief, or bark prevention?

3. How much fuel (power) do you think you'll have?

4. Is this for street/towing/Dyno/Racing?

b. o. v. to protect head gasket (I heard 50 is max without o-ringing)-edge comp and future injectors 150 hp- street and towing- unkown htb2 size
