i just towed my trailer about 400 miles and i have oil everywhere. i think that it is blowing out of the crank case vent. does this mean that i have a broke or cracked ring? could this be my lack of power, vibration at idle, black smoke, and low power. truck seems to drive ok at higher speed just less power? help please this truck has so many problems. by the way the oil level is not to full and i wasn't blowing oil before and i had all those problems mentioned above. i also notice when taking off i kinda hear a mild sound of high rail pressure rattle but not as loud as when you remove the plug on the cp3 pump. i have no way to test rail pressure yet but i will order one on monday.

Sounds like what happened to a friend of mine... bad injector overfilled the crankcase and caused oil to run out everywhere...

Quick check for fuel in oil is to drip some off your dipstick onto paper towel and let it sit for a few minutes. If it leaves a dark spot in the middle with a ring around it then you have diesel in the crankcase.
