2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Blower motor resistor went out again

I replaced the blower motor resistor less than a month ago. I noticed last night that it went out again. Any idea what would make my truck eat these?

If you have a blower motor that is going bad it will sometimes cause this. The bearings go bad it starts draging and causes a higher amp draw, more than the resistor is rated for.
