I think that I've lost a level on the blower resistor. As this is the first time I've crossed this bridge with these trucks. I've got 1, 3,and 4 speed on the dial. Would this be the resistor or would I need to dig into. I was used to when you lost one level, it meant that it would affect another. Any info on what and where to look, or just fire the parts cannon and get the resistor!

Thanks for the assistance.

Please keep the people affected by Helene, in your thoughts!

Assuming all circuitry is analog, I would start by checking the resistor pack. You should be able to determine the configuration of the resistors by doing systematic ohms check of the pack. It depends where the open circuit is whether the open will affect all or limited functions.
Then verify the switch contacts if all is good with the resistor pack.

Thanks @brucejohnson, That's where I was going to start, so similar to how you would the way I'm used to. Yes, no auto HVAC system, just the 4 speed fan adjustment. Will be digging deeper into this weekend. Glad that I finally have some dry weather to get this addressed along with other out side chores that haven't been able to be done lately! Guess this was the payback for the extended dry spell we had earlier. Everyone enjoy their weekend! :)

I've got 1, 3,and 4 speed on the dial.

It takes both resistors in series to get speed 1. Than one resistor for speed 2 and the other for speed 3. Speed 4, high, is no resistors. Thus the resistor pack is ok.

Likely a bad switch or relay.

Doesn't hurt to check the blower resistor connector and blower motor connectors as these are a pain point of melted corrosion in many models and makes.

@Tuesdak, Thank you for that info! Got caught up in the "honey do list" today. Glad the dry spell is going to last for a few days. Will pull center stack panel and start searching. Will update with findings to provide resource for others. In hind sight, could be the switch, since it lives on #2 speed 90% + of the time.

Found it! Looks like "Mother Nature" wasn't to kind! Will be firing up the parts cannon for replacement. They say a picture is worth a "thousand" words.

@Ozymandias, Lots of humid days! Got the Chesapeake Bay withing a couple hundred yards and only a few hours from the Atlantic coastline! So now with the humid air, add in some salt air, not a good setup! Glad it was just the resistor and not the switch, as that is only replaceable with center stack panel, which makes it more pricey!!!!!!!!!!!
