Greetings All,
I took off the bottom cover of the steering column, and the connector that plugs into the Key Cylinder. The wire that supplies power to blower motor is extremely hot, in fact the the Key Cylinder housing was hot also. then I checked the blower motor and it was cool to touch, then I touched the power connector going to fan (under the hood) was "warm" to touch. My concern, is how hot it was on the wire going into the connector going to the Key Cylinder. The wire Black/Red has cracked insulation, and when I feel down the wire ( as going down the steering column) it cools. what would cause the Heat, I mean it was HOT so Hot I could not touch it, no melting plastic (I'm surprised) but the questions remains what would cause these connections to get so hot. I know that Current/AMPs make the heat, no blown fuses, etc.
I have no taken off the connector to the Key Cylinder yet, waiting on some comments and suggestions.
Thank All,
BH
