Blowing Fuses

Got a problem with blowing the number 5 fuse that dims the dash lights and the 15amp fuse for the dash lights and parking lights.
I installed an add a fuse to the number five fuse for my guage lights and that is when the problem started.
Last night I took the add a fuse off and put it back to stock, replaced the blown fuses and when I turned on the lights and moved the dimmer switch, Bam blow the fuses.
Any help anyone can give me on this????

Look for a strand of wire, broken off from the larger wire, shorting the terminals of the junction box.

I've heard of other folks haveing dimmer switch meltdowns,perhaps you've got one of the bad ones.
