Hi, I have an 04. 5 that I just completed adding a FASS system. My fuel pressure was reading 23lbs. On the initial test drive under moderate load at 65mph I started to pass a semi and got it up to 80mph when the truck to shake violently and blow white smoke. EGT was about 1250 for 3 seconds. I shut it down immediately. Now that it has coolled off I began checking the oil and antifreeze. Neither show any signs of having mixed. The oil does appear to be thin and may have a slight diesel fuel smell. There is alot of oil around and dripping from the turbo. I am looking for any help or ideas. Thanks in advance.

I have the following bombs:juice+hot, ppe programer,ATS ex manifold, ATS stage 5 trans, HTB2 turbo, AFe intake w/torque tube, & FASS fuel system.

Was the oil level over-full? It sounds like injector problems. I am sure one of the 3g guys will be around to help you shortly.

Probaly blew the turbo. I had the same thing happen to me. Take of the intake elbow and check the shaft etc. . If that is fine do the same on the exhaust side. When it happened to me I thought I blew the headgasket also until the oil started dripping from the exhaust pipe. Took off the downpipe and there was no wheel left on the shaft.

Or you could have dropped an injector cracked the tip or a bad solenoid.

Keep us posted.

PM me if you have any questions

Yikes :{ Sorry to hear about your mill, Toxic. Any idea how much it's going to set you back yet? Based on the bombs you mentioned - you are your own warranty station right? Or, is Cummins going to help out somewhat? Let us know the final outcome. Hopefully not to painful - Best of luck and a speedy recovery for your rig.

nothing like screwing the dealer for warranty work... No wonder service mangers can be such jerks. . Maybe they have gotten jaded with people that put their motors on the edge, and blow them up, and then expect dodge to fix them.

This is embarassing if you ask me.
