Blow #4 injector line. I have a test cap to cap off that line at the rail.
Do I need to disconnect power to the injector -- and how do you do that?

Not sure, but I think you need to disconnect one of the two wires at the injector selonid.
If you run the injector without fuel, which provides lubrication, it will quickly be ruined.
By the way, I know nothing. And if you need help TC Diesel (Todd) is in Blain, just north of Mpls
Good Luck

Certainly not trying to say “I told you so”, but I’ve posted many times that if I had a 5.9 CR I’d have a #4 line and a wrench in the glove box. It’s a simple, quick repair IF you have the part.

I’m not sure, but it may throw it into limp mode with the injector disconnected.

It was a buddy of mine with the issue. Its the third line failure that he has had.
This time he had a "test cap" and a wrench and he disconnected #4 line and ran hundreds of miles on 5 cyls. until he could get another line. He found a line this evening and is back on all 6 trying to get home.

I will post the entire story soon for everyone to read in the 3rd gen forum. I moved on from 3rd gen to 4th 10 months ago ...
Thanks much for the replies, especially sag2 that it shouldnt hurt to run without rail pressure. I presume thats still true for an 18 model?
