I finally have my blue box working good. Oo. Oo.

Now my transmission slips. :{ :{

I had bumped up my line pressure to 67-68 psi. I was told to not go above 70# by Bill K unless I change the acumilator spring. But I think at this time I need a temp fix. I cant aford a value body and converter right now. The parts and deposit would Just be to much right now. How high can I gowith my line pressure???? And at what point do I need a resitor to not set off codes?

I am only running the blue box only at 15 % also. Tomarrow I am taking off my ez and not use the blue box to reduce transmission stress untill I can get atleast a vb.

I will say even at 15%:--) The blue box it the bigest power increase so far

You could do that, but no thats not what I was refering to. I was talking bout a $75 to $100 Trans Go shift kit. As a Temp fix. And it might not be enough to handle the complete load depending how you drive your truck.

A valve body from Bill would be a better choice. Call him and talk to him.

On ICQ now.

As for how long your stock convertor will last? Thats the million dollar question. I ran a "Hot" PowerEdge with just a shift kit for over a year with no problems. It depends on how long you want it to last... ...

Its in how you drive it and treat it I suppose.

I've had just the VB in my truck for a year now. The TC held up to my BD 4 wire box, same as blue chip, fine. Now I added an EZ and it doesn't stand a chance. So with both of your chips "on", no, even with an upgraded VB it won't hold up long at all. If you only turn one on or the EZ and 15% or 30% of the Blue Chip, then you could drive it for a long time with just a VB. Like Kat said, it all depends on how you drive it.

VB only? until you have the full meal deal...

it's still only a "sack lunch" :(

Like they say Pay me now or pay me later

what are the conditions you are using the blue box for other than increasing fuel consumption and EGT ????

as far as increasing your line pressure , if bill suggested you don't go any higher without changing something else then its probably safe to say thats as high as you want to go .

there are other things that go along with a pressure increase that increase clutch holding line pressure as you increase speed . just turning up the pressure on a stock VB is a bandaid .

you ain't gonna like this but that money you spent on the blue box should have went into the trans . if i had to do it again , the trans is the FIRST upgrade ...

post electronics fueling is for playing ... you wanna play you gotta pay .

VB is minimun , whether its a kit you add or a bought and tested VB , your decision . but don't expect the stock TC to live a long and happy life , nor the trans as there are upgrades that need to be done for the power level you have the potential for .

I just orderd a vb from Bill K. And I plan on getting a converter and trans kit later. These trucks are expensive. You have the hop up expence and the payment. This month the payment is the small bill.

Clutch pac sh*t the bed for me, if your using the fueling box for sport, then your time is limited, with the fms and 275"s, I lasted 45 days, IT IS CHEAPER TO DO IT BEFORE YOU SMOKE IT
