Was thinking about getting the Apb. just wondering what your opinions of it were. I don't want the extra timing of the comp and I don't need the guages of the FMS.

I figured it might be a good solution. comments and/or opinions are welcome!

i have an old edge pulse box that boost fools and does fuel only for an 01, i will sell for cheap, pm me if interested. ohh and its 3 stage adjustable.

I have been using one. It provides a lot of extra useful power. When turned on full That power comes on with a surge, but that can be adjusted with the rheostat. I mounted mine behind the bolster next to the steering column & soldered wires to the LED for a remote LED I put on the dash.

Well I finally bought a box (APB) from a friend and I'll have on in little while. Does the Apb do the boost fooling? Any one out there that has one, where and how did you mount the knob? thanks in advance...

Ive Had Mine For 2 Years Now, I Drilled A Hole In The Kick Panel Just Left And Below The Steering Wheel Then Mounted The Knob Through It. A Word Of Advice Dont Over Due It Tightening The Nut That Holds The Knob Control In Place It Will Twist Off. I Will Say This Has Been A Great Product For Me And Chip At Bluechip Diesel Is A Really Good Guy To Deal With And Stands Behind His Products. Also If The Green Wire Is Hooked Up It Shouldnt Set Overboost Codes But If You Run It Unhooked Its Gonna Set A Code First Time You Hammer It.

I mounted my knob much the way ASimpson did but to the right. I mounted the box itself out of sight under the panel to the right of the steering collum. (see attachment) I soldered a length of speaker wire to the LED leads & ran it to an LED mounted on the dash. I did have some trouble with the ground connection & after consulting with Chip Fisher, I added a second ground at the grid heater ground point.

After reading these replies now I have two more ?s ASimpson said something abou t throwing overboost codes if I do not attatch the map (green) wire. I have a stand alone boost fooler (a. d. d. ) already on the truck so in theory I guess I wouldn't need to hook up the map sensor wire?

I only ask because if I do hook up the map sensor wire I have to get the new plug (the box was off '99) so if I don't I can save a little money.

My second ? is how did you secure the box under the dash like that? Double sided tape or velcro I assume?

I attached the wires for the remote LED by soldering them to the leads on the existing LED as it this photo under the black electrical tape.
