i drove my truck yesterday about 100 miles and it was fine, about 3 hrs after stopping i started it up to go out and when i went to go and stepped on the gas it popped a few times and puked out a ton of blue smoke any ideas ? the truck is stuck where i was and im wondering if its my injection pump :mad: im figuring thats what it is any info would be appreciated.

Does it have good fuel pressure?

Cycle the key three time and tell us the codes on the odometer window.

When was the fuel filter changed last?

im gonna cylce the key do i do it on off 3x and then back on for code? fuel filters were last changed in feb fuel pressure has been dropping thats what leads me to believe its the pump.

To read the trouble codes in the odometer window, turn the ignition key: ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON and read the codes.

Change your fuel filter again now and make sure air filter is clean.

once i get truck towed home ill do that . when you step on gas it back fires and blows blue smoke and theres no power thats why i was thinking its the pump #@$%!

hopefully ill grt truck back this weekend and i can start checking to see what the prob is gonna start w filters and if its not that, its prob time for vp 44 :{

If the air filter is clogged it may have sucked oil pass the turbo oil seals. Remove the discharge hose from the turbo and look for signs of oil.

im gonna be by the truck this weekend and hopefully i can look at it and see what it is. its most likely the injection pump because its been having erratic fuel pressure every now and then.
