We were in Helena yesterday and sitting at a light I looked at the tailgate of the Dodge in front of me and seen a body chrome sticker that said BLUE TECH

What gives with that??

I know nothing about blue tech.

Helena on the other hand is my favorite city in the whole US, too bad it's getting so expensive to live there, or that's where I would be. We will be retiring/living in Sanders County.

I havent been to Helena very many times. The reason that we went is that in few months its going to be GRANDPA BIG AND GRANDMA BIG The wife is still :{ I dont know if its because it makes her feel old (I do) or because there is going to be a little dudeNASTY. :-laf She's planning like we are going to have a kid. We went to a baby store and well you know what happens there. But back to your statement its a nice city but I got out of Ca because of the city, fun to go ya but I like my quiet. They have the same guests as we do and my guests dont have to worry about slipping on concrete

Hands down one pretty city but its just what it is , the traffic is something that I was not ready for because there was allot of it. I don't know if it was that we just hit it at the WRONG time but that along with the amount of people. I couldn't wait to get back to our traffic jams and quite part of the world. The wife said that we should go more often so that I could appreciate what we have. I DONT NEED TO GO TO EXPERAINCE THAT.

OUR TRAFFIC JAMS ARE BETTER TO LOOK AT

Helena... traffic... what, one car ahead of you at a signal light?:-laf:-laf

When I go to Helena, it is like going home, feels great to me.

I understand, from your descriptions, I believe you are somewhere west of Hamilton, maybe Corvallis... ?? No traffic lights at all in the nearest community.

My wife and I are going to live out our days east of TFalls on the Clark Fork, no traffic lights in TFalls either.

I respect your rights/wants to solitude, but Helena is not a Metropolis... It's folks are still respectful, and for the most part self sufficient, do not need a helping hand... . Jess

No problem with Helena just not our cup of tea. Thats why we dont all live in the same place. AND IT WAS 3 OR 4 CARS AT THE LIGHT :-laf and the most important thing was that I didnt have to honk the horn when the light changed. In CA that was taking your life in your hands

Congrats on the new Grandchild!

Mine are still somewhere in the future, but I can already see Grandmomma making preparations.

And if she sees I called her "Grandmomma" I'm toast!

Thanks for the Grandpa thing BUT REALLY I HAD NOTHEING TO DO WITH IT. I was wondering if the boy had it in him to be a dad. Hes wanting to get out of CA. Calif is not doing very well at all and are starting to cut retirement (Cal peers) or something like that. He and his wife have come to MT and He has found work in Missoula but would like to live out by us not going to happen with the cost of gas.

They are talking to FIL about the money aspect of this and it looks positive I stay out of money matters until I need some then I ask the wife for my allowance. I hope it works out that they can move because I wouldnt want to raise a very young one in Calif with what is going on there. FIL is giving the wife the thumbs up so what ever that means. All I know is that NOW SHE HAS TO MAKE ONE OF THE SPARE ROOMS A BABY ROOM. OMG!!!!!He's not ours but has a room at MY HOUSE whats that mean another dependent/food/clothing/ I know another Mule/gun/farm equip/ Maybe its not a bad thing.

IF SHE WOULD JUST QUIT CRYING :{ I dont understand chicks she did the same thing on our wedding nite. :-laf

GRAMPA BIG

WHOA!!! Big, you may physically be in solitude, but sounds like outside sources are still affecting your everyday criteria...

No I have no problem with what she wants to do if a room for the new one is what she wants then so be it. I just want them (the son and family) to be happy with where they are. Ca really sucks talking to them the Whats left that is still there is pretty much low life. He sees more than most with the job he has there. Being a Paramedic you get to see the crap they do to each other and would be bad on a day to day basis.

They are family so bring them on. Wife got up with me at 1 am for so long to get me off to work and then get up and go herself. Its the least that I can do, your married if she is happy we are happy. Know what I mean?

Just took a look at Thompson Fall MT WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT!!!!!!! Went shooting today with FIL/BIL they said that it's not that much different than where we live. Your snow that much worse that us? or weather in general? Just need more night life? :-laf

I think that is the wife's problem is the shopping we have to leave Seeley to find what she wants. She was spoiled when we lived in Ca she had the biggest and best of everything within a few min. drive.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Thompson Falls, love it. I believe the winters are milder in T Falls than Seeley Lake, maybe a bit more fog.

I am just hoping to sell our home in Spokane this spring so we can start building our new home in T Falls. Our garage is up, water, septic, and electrical are in, can't hardly wait till were on the river full time. We have left our 5th wheel over on our property for the last three years, be nice to finally have a home.

Congratulations G'pa Big, We have 5 grandkids and that makes life all the better. Just thought I'd throw this in...

Watch out, time flies! Pretty soon you'll be having to saddle one more mule for a trip into the back country :)

Do yourself a big favor and take a look at SIP's construction for home building. Its the way as far as im concerned. Its extremely fast build/energy efficient/and cost is about the same as stick build. The big + was that you can build the shell of the house and put inside walls where you want no load bearing wall to worry about. The wife loved that she could make her kitchen any size and the Master bedroom any size and so on. Our house was weather tight in 9 days our foundation was already built but 9 days is pretty fast. We had the house move in done in 6 weeks but we did have PLENTY OF TALENTED electricians/carpenters/plumbers/drywallers that were in the family. I built the Kicthen & bath cabniets and installed the flooring after the house was built.

To answer the ORIGINAL question, the badge is simply a stupid advertisement for the emissions equipment that has plagued Dodge/Cummins owners since '07. 5!!

It also appears on the newer (emissions strangled) Western Star trucks with the DD-15 Detroit engines that feature: common rail direct injection, pump that is a larger version of a CP3, Bosch "Piezo" injectors, and a Holset VGT turbo.

It seems that Cummins had an idea and Detroit jumped on it... It is evident that happened because the DD-15 engine looks virtually identical to a 6. 7L Cummins (minus the size and paint scheme)!! :-laf
