A neighbor has a 01 and was told by a Dodge dealer that it the vp44p was bad. That was over a year ago, he finally got the pump and asked me to put it in, easy enough. But it did not fix the issues rough running, missing and blowing out white smoke. I checked fuel pressure and it was around 4lbs and would drop to 0 if you revved it past idle. It has had the pump relocated to the tank (by the same dealership). I had a Holly blue lying around container of fuel, it now has 12 lbs pressure, runs smoother, but is blowing bluish smoke that smells like fuel. Any ideas, I am thinking maybe an injector issue? The truck is not throwing any codes at all.

Smoke?

This is going to sound kinda stupid but are you sure the Crankcase breater isnt plugged??

When I relocated mine , I accidentally shoved it to the bottom of the baby bottle, it started smoking pretty bad after that... . just tryin to help.
