Took the boat to the scales last week(after towing it all year of course) thinking I would be around 12K total towed weight, much to my surprise I'm pushing 14K with full fuel load and water and all my crap aboard. I think a Titan hitch is in order here! Stinky seems to handle it okay, but I'm getting concerned about the 5th gear nut , I just hope it holds out for a while longer, can't really swing a new mainshaft right now. I am still getting 10-13 mpg towing anywhere from 60-70 mph, not bad for lugging around a big hunk of 'glass, let's see a Power Choke do that!! Anyone had a bad experience with the NV 4500 towing this kind of weight? :(

I've towed upwards of 17,000 lbs with both of my trucks. both have the nv4500 and no problems:D .

JFulmer,

It has twin HP 500 EFI's(Mercruiser) go for about 78 mph, and they love sucking the gas, to bad i can't stuff a couple B5. 9 Cummins in that sucker, I love the smell of fresh diesel in the morning!:D
