Bob, Marco, Bob4X4; Smarty Jr./Dealer reflash Questions?

Background: spring of 2007 with 4,500 miles on truck took it into dealer for white smoke/long crank reflash.
Bought Smarty Jr. Dec 2007.
Just took truck in with same problems, Dealership done a reflash.

My question is: Do I need to update Smarty Jr. or am I good to go.

you should be good to go. If not you would get an "unknown software" error message.

Correct me if I am wrong, but getting a dealer reflash wont affect anything once the Jr is installed right? Does the Jr have the current Cummins software. . so in essence running the Jr is like running the "current" software?

Some times Chrysler decides they need to do reflashes to correct some programming or known problems. If the Smarty Sr. or Jr. came out before the reflash then the program in Smarty is not current and needs to be upgraded via internet on mads wegsite to keep the programming current and or undetectable. At least that's my understanding of it and why I posted the question.
