Thanks, TDR Staff

When I release the clutch the truck dies!!

Truck won’t start-best way to bleed air out?

Does anyone have any information on Bob V’s super shifter kit that he produced in the early 2000s, or a way to contact him?

I have one of his knobs and may be able to get ahold of him? He lives a few hours away from me. I believe he no longer has a Ram and as far as I know only produced the kits for a short while for the 2nd gens. What kind of info are you looking for?

I’m looking for a complete set of instructions and the component part numbers. If you have any of that information I’d greatly appreciate if you could pass it my way…
Thanks!!!!

I don't think I have any of that info, at the time I purchased, Bob did the install in his driveway, I don't recall there being a parts list or install instructions. Unfortunately, that has been around 20 years ago, memory is a little fuzzy about the details.

I do know there was a needed modification internally to the shift knob to eliminate a lockout between the range selection and the splitter. Normally in a big truck, with the knob Bob used you can't split the low range with a 13 speed and that is the knobs he used. That may not be an issue if you used an 18-speed knob?

There was also an adapter from the OEM threads (10mm?) to whatever was on the Eaton knob. Other than that, it was a vacuum valve and tubing as I recall? I control the CAD with the range selector, and I use the splitter to control my Jacobs exhaust brake. The valve may only be used to control my splitter function which is exhaust brake on/off in my install.

The knob has worked flawlessly since install, 338K miles and 20+ years.

Wished I had more info, but that is about all I can recall.
