I've read lots of good things about Bob Wagner and now it's time to add my own two cents.
Week before last, while I was out of town, I ordered a Smarty Jr J-06 for my truck from smartypower.com . The next day I got the shipping confirmation email & the box arrived before I got home Friday night.
Like most, I was anxious to examine my new purchase and install it on my truck. When I opened the Priority Mail box, all of the paperwork was for the J-06 I ordered, but the hardware was a Smarty S-67.
I suppose I was a little disappointed, but it was really no big deal. My truck was running just fine... this was not something I needed to get my truck on the road. In other words, stuff happens.
I sent Bob an email and asked him how he wanted to handle it. In about an hour (on Friday night!) , I got a reply email from him appologizing for the incorrect shipment and stating that he would pay for the return shipping and get a Jr in the mail the next day.
Sure enough, I got another shipping confirmation email on Saturday.
What Bob hadn't said was how he wanted to handle the return. That kinda bugged me all week, but I figured there would be instructions in the box with the Jr.
The new box arrived on Monday, but I was out of town again.
When I got home last night, I opened it up and found Bob's instructions... A $20 bill taped to the Jr.
A quick visit to the post office this morning has the S-67 on it's way back to Bob. Hopefully, he'll have it Monday.
Thanks again Bob! You sir are a class act.
In this day & age of identity theft and other rip-offs, it's really good to meet a man whos word is his bond. I'd rather have a handshake from Bob Wagner than a signed contract with most others.
