I had my 743 Bobcat & equipment trailer stolen from a fenced in yard I rent on a farm, last week. Here in Camarillo, CA

The Bobcats serial number is 5019M25943, the white steel trailer with fold up ramps had a California plates 4DB1812. The SOB broke into the yard with bolt cutters & then also used bolt cutters to break a lock I had on the bobcat... unfortunately no theft insurance.

Probably long gone... but I guess it can't hurt to post... It was an older piece of equipment but had fairly low hours on a Kubota diesel motor and ran great.

I am a landscape contractor & it really sucks that I work hard to purchase that equipment & some low life comes along and takes it! Grrrr... . #@$%!

man , I hate these stories. I had a good friend of mine that owned a small landscape company get wiped out like this last year. It hit him so hard he never recovered. The thief's took his trailer with his hydro seeder, harley rake, rockhound and a few other attachments. We never found it.

report the serial number to Bobcat. If the thing comes in for sdervice,it will be found[providing the service department records the info properly when they service it] I read about this on the Bobcat website...

Put a lojack on the equipment! A friend of mine has a rental yard and all his equipment has them and it has come in handy a few times!

Thanks Dave, I have it reported to Bobcat now... it is worth a try, if it still has a serial number!

& Cat, I will but lojack or a similar device on my next skid loader. From what I have been hearing, these skid loaders are being stolen at alarming rates...
