Forrest, that looks sharp, but I like my badges. I have a pair from a 3rd gen my buddy gave me. Going to put that one on the fender, front corner like it was on his truck.
I've traditionally left my door/fender badges on... and kinda scoffed at those that shaved all their badges. on my 1st white 98 12v, I took the SLT badges, door moulding, and all the tailgate stickers off. I liked that look.
this truck had a pinstripe and I hated it and the megacab badges. I took them off, and it looked so good, I started taking more and more badges off, and it just looked better and better!
there's a truck like mine one town over and he took the side molding off, and it looks nice, but they really are in the perfect spot to prevent door dings, so they're staying on
Forrest, are your wheels painted from a can or did you get them blasted and powder coated? How are they holding up? I have been quoted $75 a wheel from a local powder-coat shop and have been told that is a heck of a deal; this price even includes tire mounting and balancing. As for the door spears, I like them but have not found anyone that offers these besides the dealer; chrome is available everywhere but i want the black ones.
I've run black powdercoat wheels on the past four trucks I've owned. I usually pay ~$50/wheel, but that's cash and carry, if you can get it done for $75/wheel including mounting and balancing, I'd say that's a pretty good deal!
I have an 05 with about 65K on it. It has always been waxed. If you remove the badges, is a spot of any type left where the paint has changed? I know there will be sticker residue, but that is easy to take care of. Thanks.

When i removed the badges, i washed each quarter panel and did not see anything noticeable; still don't today. Since you routinely wash/wax (unlike I) I believe you'll be okay.
