I purchased some body protector moldings for my 06 Quad Cab. I purchased the chrome covered ones, they came with the adhesive tape already attached to the molding. The instructions say to apply 30 lbs pressure for 24 hrs to the molding. How do I apply that kind of pressure to the side of the truck. If anyone has done this your comments and advice would be helpful.

ALK,

1. apply trim to side of truck. 2 lay truck on side over nite 3 repeat other side next day. :D

I would give the company of product call and ask them

Good Luck

All of the peel and stick trim I've put on my ride I just made sure surface was clean and then applied to surface and let cure for 24hrs

I don't have the chrome ones but I just stuck them on over 3 years ago, never moved since, they are the Dodge factory body side mouldings.

I did the same thing and they have held great, I cleaned the area with alcohol first.

I cant believe the factory holds them in place for 24 hours either.

I do like the idea of laying the truck on it's side though :-laf

Tom,

I purchased them from my local Dodge dealership. Ordered them one day and had them the next. They told me if I don't like them I can return them.

Well the job is done. Even if I have to say so myself "the truck looks much better". That two sided tape sure sticks - there is no room for error.

Speaking of trim...

I bought a 2007 Dually QC Laramie H Tuesday  . I have a 1999 2500 QC that I really like--well duh, bought another one! One of the things I like are the wheel well liners, both front and rear. Really help keep the truck looking showroom fresh even after 7. 5 years of farm work.

Oo.

Does anybody make a wheel well liner for the dually? I have done some searching but found nothing yet.
