Cummins genset powered by a N495 4 cyl diesel

I am looking at buying a rolled 2001 2500 dodge diesel truck- will the body fit from my '97 1500? Or did they change the cab to frame mounts when they went to the quad cab design? The only other hurdle I see is the wiring up of my dash to the '01's wiring harness. I think it could get real ugly... Any thoughts?

I don't know about the body mounts, but they should be pretty straight forward. As far as the wiring goes just take the entire harness, dash, guages out of the 01 and install them in your 97. I did a 91 gas to diesel conversion and used the harness, dash column, floor hump, inner fenders, and core support out of the diesel on the gas body. The body mounts were the same, but a couple of the bed mounts had to be moved. Took about 20 hours to do it all with two of us. The worst part is swapping the dashes, but it beats convertiing and adding to the gasser's harness. Jake
