Can a flatbed be installed on 03 and up trucks with hydroformed frames? Seems like I remember this being a problem originally. Especially with goosneck hitches and such.

How about a dump body? Anybody know if its possible to upfit a dump on an aluminum flatbed for a 3500 dually or srw 3rd gen??

Do the frames support this kind of upfit?

dump body

yes it is poss. to do a dump body . i did one on my truck a 06. i did find a good bed maker in wv. i was able to make a body 1. 5 inches higher than stock . there are some things to think over carefully on 06 and early years. kp:cool:

So if I want to buy a 3500 series dually and install a small real dump body... I need to go with GM or Ford as the Dodges from 03 to 06 don't support this type of upfit at all??

I need one... and would prefer a Cummins Dodge as thats what I've always ran for my HD trucks. But I have to buy used as I can't afford $50K for a new one... and don't want a DPF either. :)

My plan was to get an 04 or 05. At a bare minimum... do aluminum flatbeds like Hillsboro types u-bolt OK to the dodge chassis? OR is that out too?
