I think im going to go with the DD Jammer turbo and wastegate it at 40 psi. My gut instict has been to go w/ DD since the first day i looked at there website, plus Keith seems like a real nice guy and ive learned alot from him. Plus everyone with there products is more than happy. When i get my truck back  (if ever) Im either gonna lift it or do this... no matter what it will be done some time in the future. .

Im excited the body shop says my truck may be really tomorrow or monday. And when i find out how much extra i owe them  im gonna see what spending money i have and hopefully i can get rob thomas's stacks within a couple weeks. worst case scenerio is 3-4 weeks. :) Im pulling for the turbo upgrade also, while i do that i can put on my ats manifold and gauges finally  then maybe an ats tc and vb. then thats all for a while. Either that or i get a 5" lift done...

Where the ???

Where are you guys finding that DD has a Jammer turbo out for the 3rd gen's? I looked on there site and all I see is the "Max-boost" turbo or part # MB103. I think the Jammer is for 2nd gen trucks not 3rd gen's.

Not interchangeable but they do have one. It is like a kit with piping and an elbow to get the output turned toward the aftercooler. It may not be on the website.

Scott, I checked the site they do have one but it is for the 2nd gen trucks. I am assuming that the turbo that everyone is talking about in this post is the one I am running the MB103 or "Max-Boost" as DD has named it on their site.

Well dang if it didn't just bolt right in to my '03 :)

It's the same MB103 kit you see listed on their website. As long as they know it's for a 3rd gen, you'll get the correct kit with the proper discharge elbow and pipe, 4" downpipe, etc.

As I said, the turbo kit is designed to work with their airbox. I had a RamAir III prior, but it sat soo far back in the engine compartment that fitting it to the DD turbo would have been a major chore, not to mention turning about 135° on the intake tube. I swapped in a DD airbox, and whaddaya know, it bolted right up :)

There's a picture posted here somewhere. If I can find it, I'll post the link.

Well dang why would they call it the "Max-Boost" and not the Jammer. :) Either way I would not buy one. Unless you know for sure that 450hp is the highest your going to go. I would wait until their new single is available. It should good up to the 700hp level. I have blown up to DD JAMMER OR MB103 OR MAX-BOOST chargers in less then one year. It may be because I have a manual, I don't know but the shaft doesn't seem to hold up.

See, here's the problem... there's ALWAYS something better "real soon now, just about out the door, in a couple of weeks", etc. If I was to wait on their new single, I'd still be driving a stock-powered truck. Kinda like the people who are waiting (and waiting, and waiting... ) on the Juice. Yeah, maybe it will be better than the TST - just like maybe the new DD turbo will be better than the current one.

But ya know what - the TST is available NOW... the Jammer is available NOW. If and when something better comes along, then I'll look at that, as well.

Unless you know for sure that 450hp is the highest your going to go

Actually, making 500HP here with it... just like they advertise.

Tom,

What dyno did you run on? I was only able to make 460 and that was with a Ramifier. Where do you live or what elevation? Are you running all of DD stuff? I was only able to make 420 with their TTPM. I did not see in your sig that you have injectors.

FYI, the MB103 KIT includes the Jammer turbo, clocked for the 03/04, with the piping KIT etc. The Jammer turbo (MB150) is the same Jammer clocked appropriately, with downpipe and drain pipe for the 94-02 trucks.

What dyno did you run on?
My runs were on a Dynojet, at around 60ft. above sea level (I'm in NJ - the dyno is in a town close to the shore).

Are you running all of DD stuff?
At the time of the dyno runs, I had everything in my signature, except I had a DD pusher pump instead of the FASS I run currently.

Nope, just a TST PMCR and an Edge EZ. I don't forsee a need for injectors, because I can only run the TST at half-throttle right now (both power and torque set at '5'). When I raised either setting higher, I made more black smoke, but less power. My best run was actually 490HP, but that's close enough to the advertised capability of 500HP for me. :)
