Ok, NW BOMBers...

Time to kick off the summer with a BBQ of some sort. Still trying to decide on a location, preferably one with lots of parking and picnic tables. We could even have a small show & shine #ad
.

I am planning on a tenative date of Saturday, June 24th. Anyone have any ideas on a location? Rob, you mentioned Flaming Geyser State Park a while back if I am not mistaken... What's the parking situation like there? The other place I am thinking of is Golder Gardens Park in Seattle. There's plenty of BBQ space, and parking too. Plus, we could have a fire on the beach if we want! #ad

Let's see f we can get some good ideas here, sure would be nice to start the summer with a great BOMB event! #ad

Sorry, but ACL knee surgery the day before may impair my ability to stomp on the pedal. Fortunately, my drinking ability should not be affected.

Sometimes the parking at Golden Gardens can be terrible on weekends in the summer. I also vote with Rob on Flaming Geyser State Park.

hmmmm nobody seems to care about my suggestions. How about Last Mountain Lake in southern Saskatchewan then?
Or am I on the wrong thread?

EH?

Would sure be interested in future BBQ if any are going to be planned. My wife and me will be on vacation do in Southern Calif. at that time and it will prevent us from being there. Time is a comodity right now since I am going to college and all but I would like to be kept informed on upcoming events, PLEASE. Evan, you have my e-mail address if you need to get ahold of me.

Thanks

Maybe we should re-shedule to June 17th or July 1st? Seems that most everyone is going to be busy on the 24th...

Maybe we should have a get-together and BBQ, and plan our BOMBvoy to timberline! Evan, others, what do you think? If I find a babysitter, I'm in. I could probably take the camper, but it isn't as much fun when ya can't get on it once in a while.

Andy,

A BOMBvoy is a great idea. Dave Perea has been asking me to come to the event on the 15th of July, and I think I'm gonna do it! (as if there was any doubt). What time will the event be starting? I think a meetup at Cummins NW in Renton, and then head to breakfast would be great. Sure was a lot of fun last time, huh? #ad

Let's get this thing rolling! Looks like it's going to be a good summer!

July 15, Portland and a bunch of Dodge/Cummins Diesels sounds like a lot of fun.

Evan, when I used to help Scott Dalgleish organize the L. A. chapter breakfasts, I learned that you just have to pick a date and stick with it. It would be impossible to find a day when everyone is free. Of course, it was a bit different with our group, because only about 6 out of roughly 50 on the mailing list were on the internet. We printed up flyers and mailed them out, so we had to just pick a date, and if people couldn't make it, oh, well, that's the way it goes.
You'll go nuts trying to find a day when we can all get together. Leon Mendenhall, who heads up the Antelope Valley chapter in California (the Palmdale/Lancaster area) has regular meetings at a restaurant on a specific weeknight, like the third thursday of the month or something like that. Maybe that's what we should do. Of course, a weeknight would rule me out because of my job. Where's a good centralized area with an IHOP restaurant in a shopping mall parking lot? That's what we used to do in L. A. The food is cheap, and there's plenty of parking. If we find a place suitable, I vote that we show up for breakfast on, say, the first Saturday of every month at 9:00am. Sometimes we'd get a big turnout, sometimes a small one, but that's the easiest way to do it, IMHO.
Andy

Andy,

I have been thinking of doing that very thing. I think that twice a month would be excellent, that way we don't have to wait a whole month to do some serious BS'ing! #ad

Ok so here it is, the first and third Saturdays of every month at 9:00 AM. All we need is a location. Any ideas on a central plaace, guys?

Now about the BBQ... I'd still like to do it, and we have another BOMBer who wants to do gauges soon. Rob, would you place be ok to set this up? Post and reply! #ad

Sunday, the 25th of June. BBQ will be at my house, with ample parking! I will supply the burgers. Let me know approx how many are coming. If ya post here, I will count them up. I have the BBQ, so if anyone wants to bring something, we would need pop/beer and chips. Hot dogs for variety. Hope to see all of ya!
If ya need directions, let myself or Evan know.
