Wisconsin Meeting

O'rielly Nationals at Houstonraceway Park March 22-25

We had our BOMB party today... it was another blast! We got lots of work done, and ate all day long. Turkey cooked in deep fat fryer, Hot Wings, and more.
We had quite a crew show up...
#ad

We had my pasture just about full of Rams...
#ad

I had a good time, and hope everyone else did too!

Man, talk about an awesome time! We had at least 28 or 29 Rams roll through Rob's place and so many new faces it was hard to keep track of everyone. And the weather couldn't have been better, sunny and at least 50F.

I want to thank Bill, CUMMINNTSTKN, Ian, Gary Oyster, and whoever else that took me for a fast lap in their rig.

Also a big thank you to CUMMINNTSTKN for letting me try out his EZ box and Bob Wagner for letting several of us test drive his van Aaken box #ad
Both the EZ and the original van Aaken box really gave my lil' ETH some zip! Now I'll be out shopping for an old VA, liked it a lot better than the EZ.

Rob's neighborhood was resonating with Cummins thunder all afternoon as guys repeatedly went out to try their new mods or demonstrated current mods to fellow BOMBers.

What a turn out! Again, I had a great time helping others with their trucks, as well as getting help working on mine! I will be on my way out to buy a turkey deep fryer here soon, AWESOME food!

It was great meeting a lot of new faces. I'll ask for forgiveness now, since I'm terrible with names. I think we need nametags! I'm looking forward to the next get-together, as well as the BD Dyno Days coming up on April 21st!

Ah! Now I'm on the right topic! Hopefully we can get all the post-event comments all on one thread.
Anyway, thanks Rob and Jan for your hospitality, I had a great time, and it looks like everyone else did, too.
Too bad I won't be able to attend the next Dyno Day at BD Performance.
It was great to meet some new faces, a hearty welcome to all.
Andy

Scott, I think in the face of a turnout of this size, it might be nice to "sign in" when you arrive in some type of guest book. Anyone can check the book from time to time if they are looking for someone in particular or leave a message for someone yet to arrive. Everyone knows who is there and what far corner they traveled from. And as a "Newbie" I second the name tag suggestion. Thanks for having us Rob. Dave

This was the first time I've been at one of these parties and I had a good time. Thanks Rob for hosting this event.
I'm interested in seeing and downloading pictures from any of you that took them. Is there a web site where all or a lot of the pics are hosted?

I had a great time and my dad was real impressed with how a BOMBED cummins runs. Thanks again Rob for the hospitality. Special thanks to Bob Wagner for letting me try his VA box. Looks like the limit for a stock ETH clutch is a combination of 3. 55 gears, 35 inch tires, 275's, a VA PnP, and 6th gear at 2100 rpm. I do not think it slipped enough to hurt it, but I am going to need something stronger.

What an awesome turnout! #ad
We had representation from four states (Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana) as well as two countries (the good ol' USA and Canada).

Many thanks to Piers for helping the 12v guys, tweaking their P pumps and optimizing settings etc. Piers, your expertise was greatly appreciated. #ad

I see Dave and I missed the group picture... oh well, we were checking out his custom flat bed project (constructed of polished, extruded aluminum). You guys know how it is... can't pull me away from polished aluminum or chrome. #ad
Remember Dave, I vote you polish your custom made aluminum camper. #ad
#ad
That would be beyond trick! You guys should see the pics of his trick (all aluminum) camper... it's beyond belief! Way beyond!

Ean, thanks for a great lunch (deep fried turkey) as well as all the demos performed in your DTT equipped Ram. Which reminds me, Bob (Wagner) we still need to get together so you can demo my DTT equipped Ram... I guess too much BSing. Oops!... oh well, soon.

Rob and Jan, as always, many, many thanks for your more than generous hospitality... I know we all really appreciate it. #ad

..... did I mention I had a great time? #ad
Yeehaw!

Sorry I couldn't make this one guys, the whole top of the hill was covered in black ice this morning. It was melting by 11, and by that time I had to attend to previous commitments. Anyways, sounds like you guys had a great time, I'll catch you at the next one! #ad

Hey what rig did Piers bring down? If it was a GM, disregard the "rig" comment! #ad

..... nope! He drove a Ram that looked just like yours, color and all! Well, except better, no pretentious (wannabe) cab lights. #ad

Papa Joe... we missed ya. But I had my photo album out, and showed everyone your old ram in my driveway! That album has been fun and is getting pretty full.
Scott... you didn't mention the "loud knock" in your engine"! Or should I say "on your engine"??? The look on your face when ya jumped out of your truck was absolutely priceless!

Knock??? Whose truck was knocking? #ad
Hope he got it fixed alright #ad

I had a great time, thanks for inviting me down.
Ean, that turkey was awesome #ad

We need some 1st generation trucks next time.

NO, the engine wasn't "cackling" but the crowd around the front of my truck was! I think the technical term to describe the noise is "pipe knock. "

Well the BOMBvoy east made it over the pass fine, arrived back in Pasco at 10:00. We (Big Bob and CUMMINNTSTRKN) split ways at Vantage.

It was raining this am until Snoqualmie pass, then we had a blizzard with a few inches on the road until Easton, then just clouds until we reached the Columbia River. Then it was blue sky and warm sunshine all the way home. Looks like a good day for golf but I better wash that FILTHY truck instead #ad

Made it home in one piece about 11:15 AM, Sunday. It was great BOMBvoying with Vaughn and CUMMINNTSTRKN (Jim), Jim and I both had CB's which made the trip very short! Vaughn you have to get a radio before the next BOMBvoy! Performed the 3 S's (S**t, Showered & Shaved), in that order, got something to eat. Now catching up on email and TDR!

Had a great time, thanks to everyone with the help on my gauges. (Did you hear that John? GAUGES installed!) Sure like them, those blue replacement bulbs really look sharp in them.

It was a great gathering! Name tags are a must next time along with a Guest Book! I can say for a fact "I've never met a better bunch of people". Let's do it again!

Rob and Jan,
I can't say enough about you and your graciousness in opening your home to us for these BOMBing sessions. THANK YOU... ... ... . Jan, thanks for the info on Mexico! Maybe this next winter we'll do it!

Looking forward to seeing everyone April 21st for BD Dyno Days!

WOW!!!
what a great time. i left my house at 4:30am my time and 3:30am wa time. the roads were snow packed and icy the whole way, i met vaughn in moses lake and we bombvoyed to rob's. when we got to robs it was raining but big bob started his guage install, and rob and i put in my dd2's. that night john came over and we looked thru rob's scrap book. there was something about a mailbox i think, but i don't really recall. #ad
sat was great there was so many people that it was hard to remember names. there has to be something about those 12v's. peirs overhauled 2 engines and had time to b. s. in the same time it took to put a pe box on garys 24v. i had a great time and it was definitely worth the trip!! thanks rob and jan for all the work to put this on. thanks for the long distance award. "fin gaurd" big bob, vaugn and i left this morning and bombvoyed home. i even got big bob to drag race a couple of times #ad
it was great fun.

thanks again rob and jan. i am planning on going to bd dyno days in april if all goes well.
