still getting familiarized w/ the new (to me) truck (97 2500)
I felt like the clutch was engaging a little low (southbend OFE), so I dove under the dash to investigate... found that the hole on the rod that slides over the clutch pedal was wallered out and ovaled considerably! 1/4" would not be an exageration!
so, I pulled it through the firewall, welded up the worn portion of the hole, and ground it back to proper shape w/ the die grinder.
considerably less play (obviously) and the clutch engages higher... I was affraid that I wasn't totally disengaging the clutch w/ the pedal to the floor. I think it was fine, but it felt good to "make it right"
