I carried my baby to the shop this morning to have the gauges installed. Pyro and Fuel Pressure on the A-pillar mount.

Muffler has been gone for over a month. Oo.

Next up... EZ. Who has the best deal?

:D :D

Forget the EZ. They're for people who don't install gauges and probably won't add injectors and are worried about a worthless warranty.

Get a Power Edge Comp or Diesel Dynamics UFM--just a few dollars more. You'll be glad you did. In cab on/off + 25 settings, and you won't need to upgrade.

It won't take you long to find out where the clutch slips, and then you just keep it below that level until you get a good clutch.

The best deal is a used one, mine was-happy hunting.

rashwor... ..... the beauty of a Comp (or like product) is you can adjust fuel for your needs. I tow (occassionally) with DD2's and a comp with no temp problems.

If you have a hard time locating a used Comp, try www.piersdiesel.com and www.wildcatdiesel.com for new ones.

Both Piers and Rod will take good care of you. Also, a new Comp comes with a 60 Day Money Back Guarantee (or at least mine did). So if you hook it up and it doesn't work out for you, you can send it back provided you're within the timeframe.

HTH. There are other places that carry the Comp, but I've dealt with Piers and Rod personally and their customer service is beyond excellent.

I'm not affiliated with any companies...

Check with Rip Rook too... . he quoted me a sweet price for an EZ a while back. Also Con of Cons Chips (sells on ebay) has very good prices if you call him.

Bug bit me about a month ago.

First it was the Rob Thomas Ultimate Console, then the 3K GSK, new clutch waiting to go in (need flywheel), LarryB's contact kit on the way, 2000 Flip Up Tow Mirrors will be here monday, and a # 10 plate after my clutch is in. Oo.

Yeah I'll be getting 2 paychecks next week so I'll be alright. :D Oo.

Sorry Wade, but I couldn't disagree with you more on this topic. In fact, unless you want to tax your VP44 beyond it's limits, the EZ box and larger injectors are the way to go for more HP in the 24v in my book.

rashwor, since you do tow heavy, I'd suggest the EZ box alone for starts. See what you think and how your clutch holds up. If you need more, then upgrade your clutch and add larger injectors, maybe stage 2 or 3 at the very most.

Wade, I agree with you on the stage 3's ;) . If my VP44 dies will you fund a P pump for my Ram  :D .

It's all good, pick your posion and enjoy your truck.
