Where is everyone putting their thermocouple and boost taps?

Pyro: Pre-Turbo in the Exhaust Manifold-this will require drilling an tapping.

Boost: Intake Manifold - already tapped just take out the little plug.

The thermocouple can also be placed downstream from the turbo, a easier installation. Just use 900F degrees as the upper limit.

If you are drilling & tapping for the pyro in the exhaust manifold (preturbo) watch out for the middle vertical casting web. Stay 5/8" to left of center if you want to avoid it.



I drilled in the center and hit the web. Had some difficulty but got lucky and it worked out. I Strongly recommend you remove the turbo to do this.

I drilled it with the turbo off but when you drill it in the end of the exhaust manifold like I did then it only reads the front or rear three cylinders(whichever side of the web you got on). :--)
