Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Boost Elbow

For some odd reason I just bought an adjustable boost elbow on EBAY. The reason I say odd is because I don't know if I can use it on my stock 99, or if it will do any good. Any advice?

You need a box to fool the map sensor before you install the elbow, or the truck will defuel. Do you have EGT problems that you are trying to solve? SNOKING

Thanks for the info. No EGT problems, was on ebay after beers and bought a cheap boost elbow for no reason. Not the first time and it won't be the last if I know myself. Thanks again.
