Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Boost elbow???

Ok I put a boost elbow on my truck. I have 4' exhaust and thats it. it seems like it picks up boost quicker, but it feels like at 2500 rpms it cuts out like it is defueling, that is in 2&3&4 gear. It hasent set a code so what do you fellas thinking. And also wanting to know the specks on the home made boost fooler any body know them?????? Thanks Justin
