Mass Diesel (http://www.massdiesel.com) sells a replacement cooler line that has a Tee fitting for a sender. You can also use the method shown here. Either setup will work fine.
None of the pressure port plugs have fluid flow in all gears on the transmission. That is why Mass Diesel has made their modified cooler line. There is flow through the cooler in all gears of the transmission. IMHO this is the only aceptable place for the sender for transmission temperature. Do a search and you will find a rather long post describing which ports have fluid flow in the various gear selections. Ken Irwin
