Here I am

boost fooler & elbow question

Thanks, TDR Staff

That DARN Geno's Garage

installed a usb1 on my truck....sorta

I have acquired a boost fooler & elbow with the idea of picking up an early VA box to go with it. Can I run the fooler and elbow alone before I get the VA box? What will be the results other than higher boost?... ... lower EGT's when towing do to the increased airflow?

Please help this sadly uninformed member... ..... Bill T. :)

yeh, you can do it, but don't expect a lot more power. The main thing you will get is a couple more psi of boost and the truck will no longer defuel when it reaches the max psi limit in the factory ecm.

I am not completely sure, but mostly that you will set an over-boost code assuming you are working with a 24 valve. I have heard these do not go away without a reset tool, but unsure. I don't know if this over-boost code causes any change in performance for the worse either, but it may be something to research.

Actually, he shouldn't set any codes assuming that (as he says) he has a boost fooler as well as a boost elbow.
