On your 12v, you won't need anything other than a replacement boost elbow. The boost elbow is a brass fitting that is attatched to the back of the injection pump, through soft and hard line to your wastegate actuater. When there is enough manifold pressure, the wastegate actuater opens the wastegate and dumps excess boost. The boost elbow restricts this flow and makes the wastegate open later, producing more boost.
A boost fooler is used on 24v electronically controlled engines to send a false signal to the ecm to prevent an overboost code.
