I finally got my new truck on Friday the 28th and so far it seems fine, however there is a strange whine when it shifts into overdrive and up to about 50 mph. I didn't have that in my '99 unless the engine was so loud I couldn't hear it. My question however is. A week or so ago I thought I saw a thread by someone that told how to connect a boost gage by replacing or somehow using one of the bolts in the air intake. Can anyone remember or help me?? Thanks, Don

hey Wyosteve, I bought mine at Desert Diesel Parts LLC, talked to a Fred Swanson I think, 6126 N 183rd. Ave. Waddell AZ. Havent installed it yet but looks easy.

I got a boost bolt from Piers. Looks like you will have to use one of the bolts closest to the valve cover, the outer ones are shorter. I'll probably use one closer to the back of the engine, between the fuel rail and engine lifting ring. There's one easily accessible in the very front but I didn't want to route the boost line that far.

I have a 03 and I installed the Boost in the intake Ram on the right side of the engine. had to drill and tap the fitting. I got the directions from Genos Garage when I bought the boost gauge Works great. Dont be scared just do it. :D
