Hello

Can someone tell me where the best location to tap the tube fitting for a boost gauge. I just received a new intake manifold to replace the Ca (egr) one and was told I could locate it there. If this is true I could tap before installing.

Also I finally had a chance to do some needed maintence on the truck. Last weekend I replace the serpentine belt & adjusted the valves but ran into a snag while trying to change the engine coolant. I turned the petcock located on the bottom of the radiator thinking that the coolant would drain and nothing happened? Is there something I'm doing wrong or should I just remove the lower radiator hose?

Thanks for the help

John

Mine had a plug from the factory sorta behind the P7100 pump that I used.

The drain plug has to be turned and pulled down to flow. Seem to remember about a 270 degree rotation and drop of 3/8-1/2".

radiator drain

When I drained my radiator coolant was hardly coming out. Come to find out there is a little o-ring that got tweaked and woudn't let it drain. Got new o-ring and petcock from the stealer for about $3. 00.

There is a pipe plug on the intake manifold about halfway back on the side that works and you can also install a tee fitting in the top of the AFC housing where the boost wastegate line is and get boost signal there.
