Just got the whiteface Di Pricol Boost Gauge from Geno's Garage along with the Mopar OEM single "A"-Pillar trim mount from the SRT-10. Where's the best place to tap into for the guage lights? The dimmer switch itself, the wiring harness (don't have a manual so I don't know the wire color codes), etc. ? Is the illumination level correct (i. e. , matches the stock gauge lighting level) or are series resistors in order? The truck is an 04. 5. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The back of the switch is the best place to pick up power. Not sure about color codes as they've switched them a couple times since 03 but I just used a test light until I found the one that dimmed. The light should match up almost perfectly with the cluster. Easy install with a boost bolt, good luck.

on my 04, i tapped into the dimmer switch directally. there are 2 orange/brown trace wires on the back of it that are for the dimmer. in the manual i have, the pin numbers for those 2 wires are #3 & #6. i believe i used #6 pin to get the dimming. to find out for sure, grab a 1. 5" long pin and a multi meter and back pin the 2 wires and move the dimmer around with the parking lights on to see which drops the voltage level.
