Just got my AutoMeter boost gauge, but I'm needing to know where is the best place to tie in to get the best pressure reading on the gauge... Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

If you look right in front of the MAP sensor that is above the fuel filter in the engine head, there is a 3/4" plug screwed into the head. You can remove it and replace it with a standard 3/4" to 1/8" reducer plug that you can get at any hardware store in the plumbing dept for cheap. YourAutometer brass connector that is supplied with your gauge will thread right into this with a little pipe dope on the threads and you are all set. I did mine like this just about a month ago and it is a real easy and cheap way to do it.

If you can drill and tap a 1/8 NPT hole, A good and easy place to put it is on the aluminum intake just above the alum. lip stop above the rubber /clamp intake conector. You will see a vertical casting seem there. Drill just behind the seem and just above the lip stop. The Aluminum is 1/4" thick there. Just loosen the rubber connector, slide it down completely on the black intake pipe, cover it with a baggy (so no chips fall in there) and stuf a clean rag up into the intake horn passed where you will drill. Drill, tap and reassemble! Very, very easy to get at.

I did like Allnew was talking about. Easy, cheap (like 2 bucks for the bushing at Home Depot) and took all of about 1 minute to do.
